Art21Studio

       Ingrid Mattsson studied graphic design in Gothenburg and completed her studies in San Francisco, California. She spent the 1970s in London, where she designed shop displays for commercial stores and the Swedish embassy. She also majored in museography and worked on graphic design projects, including advertising posters and book designs. As a young woman, Ingrid developed a passion for sailing and horseback riding, activities that fueled her love for the sea, dolphins, and horses.

When Ingrid arrived in Mexico, she collaborated with several traditional art museums in Mexico City and Oaxaca. After moving to Guadalajara, she taught English at the Anglo Mexican Institute while also beginning her artistic journey with Francisco Quiroz. A few years later, they co-founded Art21Studio together.

Ingrid's work is primarily realistic, often exploring metaphysical themes, though she occasionally approaches these themes through abstract works.
